2017
Pinot Noir
Russian River Valley

Winemaker Notes

Bright fruit aromas of cherry, wild ripe berries and pomegranate blend graciously with a palate that hints of sweet spice, a flinty minerality, and a distinctive fresh earth quality. Open and expressive in its youth, the 2016 will expand and age beautifully for years to come.

VINOUS Review
by Antonio Galloni

Peirson Meyer’s 2017 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is laced with the essence of rose petal, sweet red cherry, game, incense, spice and star anise. Lifted, aromatic and medium in body, the 2017 is all grace. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years. – 92 pts.

Russian River Vineyards

Our Pinot Noir from Russian River is a blend from two vineyards (the Miller and Bateman Vineyards) that both lie at approximately 700 feet above sea level, near Occidental. Both are planted in Goldridge soils. The vines are trained on a vertical trellis system (VSP) on north eastern facing slopes that offer protection from the hot summer afternoon sun.
