2016
Pinot Noir
Russian River Valley
Winemaker Notes
Bright fruit aromas of cherry, wild ripe berries and pomegranate blend graciously with a palate that hints of sweet spice, a flinty minerality, and a distinctive fresh earth quality. Open and expressive in its youth, the 2016 will expand and age beautifully for years to come.
VINOUS Review
by Antonio Galloni
One of the many highlights in this lineup, the 2016 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is a very pretty appellation-level wine. Bright red cherry, cola, hard candy and wild flowers are nicely delineated. Medium in body and yet gracious, with terrific fruit purity, the 2016 certainly has a lot to offer. – 91 pts.

Russian River Vineyards
Our Pinot Noir from Russian River is a blend from two vineyards (the Miller and Bateman Vineyards) that both lie at approximately 700 feet above sea level, near Occidental. Both are planted in Goldridge soils. The vines are trained on a vertical trellis system (VSP) on north eastern facing slopes that offer protection from the hot summer afternoon sun.
