2015
Maquette
Napa Valley
Winemaker Notes
Our 2015 Maquette, is a beautiful “Right-Bank” blend with 20% Cabernet Franc. With this addition the wine hits the palate with deep blackberry, and intense currant flavors, wrapped around bright layers of sweet spice, clove and mint. Beautifully structured and well balanced with an exceptional mid-palate, this wine is ready to enjoy in its youth, but will age wonderfully.
VINOUS Review
by Antonio Galloni
The 2015 Maquette is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A burst of explosive red-toned fruit and floral notes makes a strong opening statement. Precise and nuanced for the year, the Maquette is a real joy to taste. The wine’s vibrancy and sheer deliciousness are impossible to ignore. The flavors are really popping today. Don’t miss it. – 93 pts.

“Maquette”
A term familiar to Alan Peirson in his work as a sculptor; “maquette” is the name given to a small three dimensional model made for a larger scale sculpture.
