2014 PEIRSON MEYER Chardonnay, Sophia's Vineyard, Russian River Valley

Review by Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

Light gold in color, with plenty of honeysuckle, white peach, brioche and crème brûlèe, this wine from 40-year-old vines has loads of minerality, an inner core of fruit that is superb and a long finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. - 93 pts.

2013 PEIRSON MEYER Chardonnay, Sophia's Vineyard, Russian River Valley

The 2013 Chardonnay Sophia’s Vineyard is a cuvée of 175 cases aged in 40% in new French oak that spent 14 months on its lees prior to bottling. This wine shows plenty of tropical pineapples, orange marmalade notes, crushed rock and melons. There is a floral note as well. It is medium to full-bodied, light-straw in color, with excellent viscosity, impressive concentration and a long finish. It should drink nicely for 4-5 years. - 94 pts.
