Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2014 Maquette, a “Right-Bank” blend now with 20% Cabernet Franc is a real beauty. With this addition the wine hits the palate with deeper blackberry, more intense currant flavors, wrapped around layers of sweet spice, clove and mint. Beautifully structured and well balanced with an exceptional mid-palate, this wine is ready to enjoy in its youth, but will age wonderfully.

Review by Antonio Galloni

The 2014 Maquette is a blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Kenefick Ranch in Calistoga. The flavors are bold and intense, with plenty of dark stone fruit, gravel, smoke and plum overtones. Merlot gives the wine its juiciness, but there is plenty of tannic grip as well as the brooding power that is typical of this site.
